3 Questions for Tele2

3 Questions for Tele2
Choosing an operator is more than just finding a SIM card provider; it's choosing a connectivity partner. Of course, the first criteria will naturally be the suitability of the coverage for your market and the right price for the amount of data you need. But beyond the coverage/price/data ratio, you absolutely must check the following points:
  • the supplied digital camera,
  • Regarding quality of service, do you, for example, have access to a data feed on the quality of service of roaming networks?
  • the quality of the management platform you will have to work with on a daily basis (its ease of use, its features, etc.).

And finally, or rather most importantly, ask the essential question: What happens the day after the contract is signed?

You'll be working with this operator for the next three, four, five years, or even longer. As your business grows and your industry evolves, your R&D will have questions, your operations teams will face challenges, your sales team will encounter unusual demands, and you'll need answers that are sometimes technical, sometimes commercial, or sometimes require expertise you don't need to handle internally on a daily basis. Therefore, it's crucial to have a truly dedicated support person. Someone who will be YOUR point of contact. Not just generic technical support, nor a salesperson managing hundreds of accounts, but someone whose responsibility is to ensure everything runs smoothly for you. A partner. Increasingly, we're seeing some of the largest operators using their IoT specialists in a pre-sales environment and then relying on the generic help desk for day-to-day support. On the other end of the spectrum, you might be dealing with a reseller who doesn't even have a dedicated support team. Have you met the team that will be the key element of the relationship in the months and years following the signing of the agreement – and how will your relationship be?

How quickly do they adapt?

The IoT world can evolve rapidly and demand business and technical flexibility. What if my product uses more data than I anticipated, or you have a customer who needs something you hadn't considered during the procurement process? Who will guide you in quickly and easily finding solutions to these and other problems?

Will they be there for the good times and the bad?

It's often in the most challenging moments, whether it's a technical issue or a business negotiation, that we learn the most about our suppliers and partnerships. You might receive a lot of resources on day one because you're new, perhaps large and/or important, but what about in 6 or 18 months – will you receive the same level of attention and support? At Tele2, we believe our customer management team is essential to the success of our business and our customers. We've invested heavily in our people to ensure we have industry experts who are genuinely passionate about the subject matter and have the freedom to innovate and adapt to the often complex requirements of IoT projects. Feedback from our largest clients indicates that this level of support and expertise is essential to a successful partnership and should be a key consideration when making the important decision to choose a connectivity provider.
