3 questions for IXON

3 questions for IXON

1. Could you introduce IXON and its mission to industrial companies?

IXON was founded in 2014 to address a major challenge: remote access to machines.
Today, we offer the most comprehensive service platform for manufacturers,
incorporating remote access, machine data analysis, customer portal and edge gateways.

We offer an open and intuitive platform that allows manufacturers to streamline their operations. With over 100,000 connected machines worldwide, we enable manufacturers to move from traditional machine sales to a scalable service offering, essential for Industry 4.0.

2. You will be present at SIDO this year. What new products will you be highlighting at the event?

SIDO is the perfect opportunity to present our latest product, of which we are particularly proud: the SecureEdge.

This is a direct response to the need for simplification in the field. The SecureEdge combines the functions of a remote access gateway, firewall, and data logger in a single compact industrial device. No more complex infrastructures or multiple components are needed: everything is connected, monitored, and managed from a single point.

On the technical side, we focused on network performance with support for Wi-Fi 5 and eSIM, facilitating global deployment. We also paid close attention to the user experience: quick setup and an intuitive touchscreen for instant access to edge gateway information.

We look forward to giving demonstrations at our booth #O212.

3. How does IXON support manufacturers in their growth and security challenges?

Cybersecurity is the most recurring topic in our discussions with our partners.
With the manufacturing industry becoming a prime target for cyberattacks, security is not
It can no longer be an option: it must be at the heart of the design.

It is precisely with this in mind that SecureEdge was designed. It is one of the first gateways in the world certified to IEC 62443-4-2. We have integrated the principle of "security by design": hardened operating system, SecureBoot and TPM technologies.

Beyond safety, we support manufacturers in developing a comprehensive service offering. Machine complexity is increasing, expertise is sometimes volatile, and customers now demand proactive, data-driven service. Professionalizing service offerings through remote access and machine data is no longer just a competitive advantage; it has become the key to sustainable and resilient growth in the face of economic fluctuations.
