Industrial safety: anticipate fires with a compact and connected sensor
The first intelligent compact infrared system for fighting industrial fires was born. Every year in France, there are 4,000 industrial fires, 30% of which are of electrical origin. To go further and allow the detection of hot spots autonomously and continuously, the company has created a new subsidiary UTC-System that designs and markets the Smart IR Camera range. The UTC® SD (short distance) connected stand-alone detector is the first device in this range. « It will trigger as soon as a hot spot enters its spectrum, and send an alert by SMS or email with a thermogram indicating the start of the hot spot, » explains José Fernandez. In the event of a detected anomaly, it is thus possible to intervene directly and/or to follow up in real time to measure the evolution, whereas a thermograph passes only once or twice a year to carry out a general inspection of the installations. A major innovation in fire prevention As a result, it improves prevention and detection related to electrical equipment in the industrial, energy, or health sectors, and offers new applications for the monitoring of battery rooms or worksites for example. Its detection algorithm also allows it to accurately identify human beings on protected sites. « We already have a patent filed in 26 major countries, but to step up and industrialize our solutions, we are looking for partners, » says Wintech Group's co-founder. To go further in the innovation of maintenance by infrared thermography, Wintech Group has developed a new detector. With the help of his knowledge acquired via UTC-SYSTEM and the long experience of SOREM in optics, the H.VIR 85 Type SMART was created.
