3 Questions to Minew
2025/09/05
1. Who is Minew?
Minew builds connected devices that make assets, equipment, and people visible in the real world. Since 2007, we have focused on wireless technologies across Bluetooth, Cellular, LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, UWB, GNSS, and satellite. We design and manufacture at scale, ship globally, and partner with solution providers who need dependable hardware that fits real operations, not just lab demos.
2. What innovations are you bringing to SIDO Lyon?
- 5G Shipping Label
A peel-and-stick label for outdoor journeys. It combines GPS with LTE-M and NB-IoT to keep shipments visible and to record what happens in transit, such as opening events, shocks, tilt, or temperature excursions. It is simple to deploy at the parcel, truck, or container level. - Ambient Light Harvesting BLE Tag
A battery-free indoor tag powered by ambient light. It harvests and stores energy from normal lighting and keeps broadcasting over BLE, removing battery swaps and waste while scaling to thousands of items in warehouses, hospitals, or factories. - ToF Sensor Series
Distance and occupancy sensing using Time-of-Flight, with optional PIR. Think of it as a precise, anonymous way to know if a shelf has stock, a bin is filled, or a desk is taken, without cameras and without personal data. - Cellular Smart Badge
A location badge that blends GNSS, Bluetooth positioning, and cellular backhaul. It solves the gap between indoor and outdoor personnel visibility and reduces the need to build dense gateway networks from day one. It also supports access control and simple charging. - Printable BLE Smart Label
An ultra-thin, printer-ready label that brings real-time BLE visibility and works alongside UHF workflows. It fits existing printing processes and activates on site, making it easy to track parcels and mobile assets where speed matters. - LoRaWAN Innovations for People and Places
The LoRaWAN Personnel Badge provides long-range updates, Bluetooth-assisted indoor positioning, and an SOS button for fast response, supporting attendance, patrols, and staff tracking. The LoRaWAN Smart Button enables one-press alerts without phones or apps, improving incident response. To connect it all, the 4G LoRaWAN Stellar Gateway unifies short-range BLE with long-range LoRaWAN, backhauls over 4G or Ethernet, and filters data at the edge so only what matters reaches the cloud. It is a practical core for smart buildings, logistics yards, and city deployments.
3. What problems are these innovations built to solve?
- End-to-end visibility for > high-value shipments
- Scalable indoor asset tracking without battery burden
- Precise and energy-saving PIR-triggered occupancy and distance detection
- Seamless indoor-outdoor positioning with no gateway required
- Parcel-level tracking with visible information
- Equipment uptime monitoring and smart energy control
