François Terrier EN

Director of Research at CEA, and CEA Senior Fellow for Artificial Intelligence, François Terrier is Program Director at List (CEA Institute for Intelligent Digital Systems). After a PhD in artificial intelligence and research in the field of expert systems, he pursued research in software engineering and trust systems. As head of the software and systems engineering department, he developed these activities in partnership with industry. In 2020, he took over as head of CEA’s strategic program on artificial intelligence, with a focus on AI research activities for the responsible development of AI for industry, in particular to meet the critical new challenges of frugality, trust and embedded AI. In this context, he contributes to set up the national artificial intelligence research program, PEPR IA, and leads it for CEA in collaboration with CNRS and Inria.
