At a time when the industry of the future is experiencing a paradigm shift, no longer limited to the modernisation of production tools or the digitalisation of processes, SIDO is continuing to grow in line with market priorities. In 2024, the show will host Lyon Cyber Expo, the cybersecurity business event for SMEs, ETIs and major groups.

With an estimated 20 billion connected objects in the world today, and an average growth rate of 20% every year, the IoT has become a favourite gateway for hackers. As attacks become increasingly violent, also fuelled by AI, cyber crises are rapidly turning into systemic crises with far-reaching consequences for all business components. Because the level of criticality within companies has risen considerably, our standards of requirements need to be raised accordingly, as part of a continuous improvement process. There is an urgent need to reduce the vulnerability of our hardware/software systems and to act collectively to protect our businesses in the short term, but above all in the long term.

Our mission is very clear – to create a business exchange platform where manufacturers, tech leaders and the world of research can collaborate, share their knowledge, create new technological partnerships and design concrete projects to protect the digital ecosystem of our companies. The objective is to bring cybersecurity within the reach of SMEs and SMIs, which are less prepared than large groups to counter cyber risks.
