maxon is a family-owned Swiss group and a global leader in the design and manufacturing of high-precision electric motors and drive systems. Since 1961, it has been developing tailor-made solutions for demanding sectors such as medical technology, industrial automation, aerospace, mobility, and robotics. With a presence in over 40 countries, the group employs around 3,300 people across nine production sites worldwide.

As the French subsidiary of the group, maxon France is based in Beynost, near Lyon, and has been a Center for Innovation and Production dedicated to mechatronic systems since 2014. Renowned for its expertise in motion intelligence, maxon France designs, develops, and manufactures precision motorized solutions for high precision applications in aerospace, medical, robotics, industrial, and electric mobility sectors.
