HORS SITE, Patch Conseil

Founder of the company Ossabois, which has become the leading company in France for wood construction. Founder of the company AQUA LOGIS manufacturer of bathroom cells. Creator of PATCH Conseil, the first Hors-site® consultant. Founder of Hors-site® Magazine. Founding president of the Hors-site Campus, the first school dedicated to offsite construction in France

He is firmly convinced that it is possible to build housing that meets the needs of today and tomorrow through industrialization, just as the automobile industry has gone from the era of the ultra-standard model to the era of the car for everyone in 30 years, it is possible to move from the single prototype building to one using standards. For example, since 1981, Ossabois has built more than 15,000 wood-frame homes; Aqua Logis has produced more than 10,000 industrialized bathroom units since 2007.

Pascal Chazal’s role is to encourage the emergence of construction projects that integrate industrialization and prefabrication and to create links between the players, from upstream to downstream, because success lies in collaborative engineering that takes into account the uses! It thus participates in the industrial and digital transition of real estate and construction, for the respect of people and our planet.

Alain SOMAT

Professor in social psychology; Researcher Coordinator Engagement and Change GEFISS (Expanded governance for the underground engineering sector).

Université de Rennes; GEFISS - Gouvernance élargie pour les filières d'ingénierie du sous-sol.

Alain Somat is currently a professor of social psychology at the University of Rennes 2 and the Laboratory of Psychology, Cognition, Behavior and Communication. His research activity is mainly focused on the modeling of the support of the change of practices implied by the occurrence of 3 unavoidable transitions: 1) digital and technological, 2) environmental, ecological and energetic, 3) health, well-being and generational. Accompanying these transitions implies such transformations that the issue of change is central to developing an anthropocentric rather than technocentric world.
After having worked for many years on an approach to change that is particularly anchored in models designed to convince (persuasion) or to engage (commitment theory or Nudges), Alain Somat is now focusing his research efforts on the hypothesis that successful and appropriate change requires the concerted development of the skills of the people concerned by the change in practices; this concerted effort cannot be envisaged without the necessary consent of all the actors concerned.
