What is your latest innovation showcased at SIDO?

We recently introduced QNX® Software Development Platform (SDP) 8.0 featuring QNX OS 8.0, the next release of our development tools and QNX Operating System. This is a major product release, which builds on our proven and trusted QNX microkernel architecture with a focus on even higher performance and 1-to-1 CPU core scalability.

The QNX SDP 8.0 Operating System is designed to power our customers’ next-generation IoT systems, those driven by the high-performance Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) that handle compute-intensive software like autonomous driving or industrial control systems. Our next-generation QNX OS 8.0 isa real-time microkernel-based operating system with new advanced microkernel technology designed to maximize performance on the latest ARM and x86 hardware platforms with up to 64 cores. This product was created specifically for developers of next-generation and/or high-performance systems in all IoT industries including  automotive, industrial controls, robotics and medical devices.

With its microkernel architecture, QNX OS is secure by design, providing layered security that isolates and protects critical processes, and a full suite of security features.
